Privacy Policy

Relay ("Relay", "we", "us") helps co-parents coordinate custody exchanges, messages, expenses, and shared child information. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1. Data we collect

• Account: name, email, profile photo, auth provider (Google, email/password), device identifiers.
• Co-parenting content: messages, custody schedule, exchange records, expenses and receipts, child hub entries (medical, school, moments).
• Location: precise GPS captured only at the moment you tap "Verify handoff" — used to timestamp and geotag the exchange. We do not run background location.
• Photos & files: receipts, incident photos, and documents you upload.
• Diagnostics: crash logs and basic performance metrics.

2. How we use data

• Provide core features: verified exchanges, messaging, custody plan, expenses, child hub, proof packets.
• AI features (Tone Guard, Assistant, Creator) — content you submit is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway) solely to generate the response. It is not used to train models.
• Security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with:

• Your co-parent within your shared workspace (that is the point of the app).
• Service providers: Firebase Authentication (identity), Google Cloud/Lovable Cloud (hosting & storage), Lovable AI Gateway / Google Gemini (AI features), Google Maps (address search).
• Legal: when required by law or to protect safety.

4. Children's data

Relay is used by parents to record information about their children (e.g. school, medical, moments). Children do not create accounts. Parents are responsible for the content they upload about minors and may delete it at any time.

5. Retention & deletion

You can delete individual records in-app. To delete your account and associated data, email privacy@laypaire.shop. We honor deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations (e.g. court-related proof packets you asked us to preserve).

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest on our providers' infrastructure. Access is scoped to the authenticated user and their co-parent workspace.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data. Contact privacy@laypaire.shop.

8. International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

9. Changes

We will post any changes to this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified in-app.
